Editor Named to Hall of Fame

College Media Matters, a blog sponsored by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP), has named Editor Victor Luckerson and The Crimson White to their College Media Hall of Fame, Class of 2011.

The Crimson White was selected “(f)or their extraordinary dedication, digital journalism prowess, and hyperlocal intensity on storm coverage in the immediate and extended aftermath” of the April 27 tornado, according to blog author Dan Reimold.

According to the site, The College Media Hall of Fame is a digital enshrinement of individuals, news outlets, and organizations who have made a lasting impact on collegemediatopia or greatly contributed to it over the past year.

Reimold is acollege journalism scholar who is an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Tampa, where he also advises The Minaret student newspaper.

Along with maintaining the blog, he also serves as the college media correspondent for PBS MediaShift and the “Campus Beat” columnist for USA Today College

He is a former Fulbright research fellow who has taught journalism, mass communication, and new media courses at four universities in two countries.
